Subject: Guilty Pleasures indeed!
This is a wonderful recording of a terrific show. The opening jam provides a taste of things to come. Terrific singing and playing throughout. Lots of musical exploration whether Dead tunes, other covers, or David's originals. Would love to have been at this show.

I'm enjoying my first listen to this band and will have to have a listen to the other shows.
Please note "Lady With A Fan" is in fact Terrapin Station.

Like a reviewer before me i was looking for *cool* band names and thought i would give this one a try, and i am so pleased i did. The sound is great and Dead inspiration is there without them being a *tribute* band. Not that thats a bad thing DSO is one of my absolute faves!! Anyway got all three shows hope more show up and thanks again for this outstanding resource.

Subject: A Beginning
A top-flight recording, solid instrumental work, and mediocre vocals. Except for the off-key vocals, the group is tight--too tight for a live show. The guitar chops are well-executed but never really take off and soar. Except for "River And Drown," the performance lacks real fire. A talented group of players that has the potential to be something more than a Dead/Steely Dan cover band.

NOTE: Their 5/6/05 set corrects all the shortcomings of this show, and then some. It's a blowout.

The band is REALLY tight

You are currently unprepared for how good this show sounds, and for how good these guys are together! This is the third time they've played together, and there were a few more shows on their run. Very much worth checking out - you'll be surprised and not disappointed!
And, if and when their other shows are made available, you'll see it here first!

Does anybody know if any of their other shows will be available?

This is high quality material.

Subject: Help - I can't stop grinnin'!
This has got to be the pick-up band of the year - these guys are tight! They can swing like Commander Cody or head for deep space like the good old Grateful Dead...

Kudos to David Gans for assembling such a cohesive band!

This will surely get some major airplay this summer!

Subject: WOW!!
I was at all shows on their mini-tour and this was, imo, the best of all of 'em with Barry Sless on board (David Nelson took Barry's place in Sebastapols). Excellent sound quality and they took me to the "zone" on several occasions.

GET IT!

I was just checking the recent reviews and noticed an unfamiliar band name. What a great lineup of musicians. Tasty covers, nice original material. Sorry I missed the live shows, but thank goodness for Archive.org! Sounds quality is excellent!
